A clear orbit around your data

Privacy policy.

PDFly is a local-first PDF workspace made by Vansonix Group. This policy explains what happens when you use the web tools or the Android companion, including how advertising consent works.

Effective September 8, 2026

1. The short version

PDFly's document tools are designed to process files on your device. The web tools do not require an account, and your selected files are not uploaded to a PDFly server by the browser-based workflows described in the product.

PDFly is supported by clearly labeled advertising placements. Ads are optional: the web app waits for you to choose Allow ads before loading AdSense, and Continue without ads keeps the web placement disabled. Android uses Google's consent flow before an AdMob request.

2. Information PDFly handles

  • Documents and images: the web tools process supported files in your browser. Finished files are created locally for download or sharing. The Android app may use the device's picker and temporary app cache to complete a workflow.
  • Privacy choice: the web app stores a small consent value in your browser's local storage so it can remember whether ads are allowed or declined. PDFly does not use the contents of your documents to choose ads.
  • Advertising signals: when advertising is enabled, Google may process device, browser, approximate location, and usage signals as described in Google's own policies. PDFly receives no document contents from the ad placement.

3. Advertising and consent

The web app may use Google AdSense, and the Android app may use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). PDFly uses a single, labeled banner placement rather than interruptive full-screen ads.

On the web, the AdSense script and ad request are not started until you select Allow ads. If you decline, the placement stays disabled. On Android, Google's User Messaging Platform gathers consent before the app requests ads and provides a privacy-options form when required.

Depending on your region, consent status, and Google's ad settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Non-personalized ads use contextual information such as the page or app context instead of an advertising profile based on activity. Where consent is required and not granted, PDFly keeps its ad request disabled.

Google's handling of advertising data is described in the Google advertising technologies policy and the Google privacy policy. These third-party policies apply to Google's services in addition to this policy.

4. Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

Google may use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, local storage, or similar technologies to deliver, limit, measure, and prevent fraud in advertising. The technologies used and the available choices can vary by browser, device, and region.

PDFly's own web consent preference is stored locally in your browser. Clearing site data removes that preference. PDFly does not place a consent preference in your PDF files.

5. How to withdraw or change your choice

On the web, use Ad privacy choices in the footer after making a choice. This clears the stored decision and shows the consent notice again, where you can choose to allow ads or continue without them. You can also clear PDFly site data in your browser settings.

On Android, use the in-app Ad privacy choices action when it is shown. Google's consent form controls whether the app can request ads; device privacy and advertising settings may provide additional controls.
